Got the GTI running and sweetly, only couple of issues,
1. the fuel gauge isn't working, have put £20 in and its not registering anything. (and i think the temp gauge isnt working but havent run it long enough to check)
I think the problem is with the sender unit itself (maybe sticky as its been empty for ages)
is there anything else that controls the gauges in the clocks?
thanks

seems a good thread for my little issue.
I don't remember my fuel gauge being such a pendulum.
Doesn't really hold station even when a fair amount of fuel has been put in. Should have about 15-20ls in at the mo but seems to hover around the red section. Having gone up to the first white line before retreating back to the red.
I do plan on putting a whole lot more fuel in tomorrow to see if it improves the needle and makes it settle down,

If both gauges aren't working properly then change then voltage regulator on the back of the clocks before you start messing with senders. Its a common fault.
