Golf GTI MK1 Caddy 1988 Ignition Switch

Hi does anybody know how to remove the electric bit of the ignition switch off the back of the barrel? I'm stuck  :( Its on a 1988 GTI Caddy
1988 Mk1 GTI Cabrio 1.8 8v, Mim1900's, Smoked Headlights and M3 rear's, 8000k HIDs, Koni-40mm, K&N
