Thank you both for pics.
I have removed the dash, to see if any faulty wires are lying about, non at all, wiring is spot on.

Problem i have is the indicators, i can not hear a click when turn indicators on, just the light on the speedo clock is staying permanently on.
So i thought i'd see if the stalks were at fault, removed ones from the citi same plugs, problem still their, so i know thats one theory gone.
I have fitted relays, but not sure if i have fitted the correct ones as one of the originals which was a long one and stamped rear wiper relay had a nice crack on the board thus not working.
So i decided to replace it, if someone can spot on the fusebox where i have gone wrong.
Also car as a sonic sensor alarm which seems to work fine, when activated indicator lights flash, aprt from one, the front drivers side.
I looked at bulb and it seems to be in good conition, could this be the fault and not making a full curcuit, excuse me for being dumb as regards to electrics, i am just thinking with the loom being old and fusebox it maybe designa nd work differently to the newer ones.
Any more advice i am desparately seeking as i need to get this problem out of the way :(
Best wishes and thank you
Pete

hazard lights also not working, green light stays on.
My friend who is pretty clued on electics came round, we put his relay in from his mk2 incase ones i had were faulty, but no joy, but what else happened was where the original relay stamped REAR WIPER RELAY was i fitted the relay of his there and activate wipers and the wipers were working in tamden as thou they were indicators and the relay was working and clicking, removed relay and now no front wipers.
really doing my nut in, he as asked if anyone knows which excact relay goes where, plus could it be an earthing problem?
Thanks again

It may be worth pulling the hazard switch apart (carefully!) to see if there are 2 little springs inside.

The springs keep the contacts pressed together, and if they're missing they cause the green light on the dash to be permanently on, and the indicators and hazards not to work at all.

It may not be that, but worth eliminating it from your enquiries I'd say…

well today, my friend sorted the wipers out and now have intermitate wipe aswell :D , fitted a mk2 motor so no more slow wipers.
My friend has looked my the haynes in great detail on the wiring diagrams, but he wants to know if anyone  who has the same fuse box, can you take a pic, and let us know what relays are used, to see if there is a relay we dont have and need to buy.
The 21 relay i fitted was not the right one (In pic at top of page), he replaced it and wipers work again.
As the indicator problem is yet to be corrected, we tried with hazard switch and still light stays on and no indicators :dontknow:
Thanks again

Thanks fella,
will get my friend to check it over tomorrow, as i say the alarm activates the indicators due to its own flashing unit as my friend as explained to me and lights work.
But we will try that one 1st and see how we get on or should i say he lol
Will keep in touch.
Thanks again

Chudd, checked the alarm, thats fine fella.
Got alot sorted today, my friend has sorted out the electrical problems.
Relays were fitted in wrong place and others were the wrong type.
To test the indicators were working via activation via stalk, he bridged where there should be a flasher relay, with small piece of red wire.

Whilst this was in the light on dash went off and the indicators will work when i selected either left or right.
So now need to know what number relay, which my friend says has to be a 4 pin relay is used for the indicators.
Once i get this indicators are sorted.
Also manged to find that the wires for the front right indicator have got a break in somewhere between fusebox and light.
So i will replace a new set of wires tomorrow to cure this.
During this, fitted a replacement alternator, works a dream, cleaned engine bay which is looking good.
Managed to blow heater blower fuse which was in the wrong place from beginnning  :banghead: (I have some on order) and some how managed to snap the little knob off the end of the bonnet cable :banghead: (One on order also) Why do we punish ourselves in order to drive a classic, must be love i guess
All in all a constructive day
