Fan switch test. Bridging?

Hello all

My fan isn?t coming on. And I could do with some help to check the switch..

The car car is a 91, 1.8 GTI Rivage K-Jet DX engine.

Could anyone help me out in how I can bridge my wires to check the fan? I pulled the plug off the switch on the radiator. There are three inlets to three wires (Red, Red and White, and Red and black).

Everything else seems to be working fine in the cooling system thermostat opening and temp gauge.

Any help would be grate
