Electrics Stopping Working!!!!!

In the last week my electrics have gone mad on me.

My blower and radio stopped working last weekend.
My hazards stoped working in the week.
My intermitant front wiper doesn't normally work but when I pressed my hazard warning switch today it started to work again!!

Are fuse boards prone to failing on the Mk1?  My old Mk2 fuse board failed and I was told that it was a common fault with them.  What else could this be?

 

yes the fuse boards and wiring can be bad you sould remove the dash and have a look
