early rear lights

hello all. ive been offered a complete early rear panel with the smaller tail lights. the guy is supplying the lights and loom with the panel. my question is, is it still possible to buy the early rear lights from anywhere. dont wanna carry out this modification if im gonna struggle to source the lamps should i need to in the future in the event of them getting damaged for example

They're the same as cabbys up until 1992? Unless you mean the very early lights with red & amber, ie no white reverse light lens.

the lamps are still available and are about ?40 each form vw, theres always loads 2nd hand on ebay, i got a mint set the other week for ?10, if you do buy some make sure they are the Hella versions, the FFFT version ones arent as good quality

There are 6 versions of the small rear lights. Variations are top fixing positions, with/without reversing lights and screw or clip on cover. Some are harder to find than others.

iv just done mine. you`ll need to use one of the reversing lights as a fog or fit a cab one below the bumper though, good luck
