Dodgy Electrics?
Hi,
I posted up a thread about my indicators a few weeks ago. They are now sorted, but since this electrical problem is sorted, my fan does not work anymore (the 1,2,3 switch)
Also i dunno if this is anything to do with it but the fuel pump has also become a lot louder. When i turn the main headlights on the pitch of the noise changes and the revs drop ever so slightly…this also used to happen when i turned the fans off and on.
I hope that makes sense, cheers for any help anyone can provide,
Gary

Check the fuse first, then the 1-2-3 switch, then the resistor pack on the blower and finally the blower. In order of ease and expense!
When you put the lights on they draw some current from the battery/alternator hence everything else in the system is getting slightly less. This is why the pitch of the pump changes and also why the revs drop. Perfectly normal… Noisy pump is just signs of it getting old. Shouldn't worry about it too much. When it fails it will probably just stop altogether. Could be tomorrow or could be in 10 years!
