Digital display thing on dial display on GTI
help
ive just got my hands on a 89 1.8 GTi and when i first drove it the little digital thing (im new to GTi spec my 1.1 didnt have one) was working i then stalled the car and it all went wrong the digital screen is not working now
any ideas on how i can sort this would be great
also any ideas on what it does and how it is controled would be cool

Its called an MFA - Multi function accessory and is controlled by a button and sliding switch on the end of the wiper stork and displays stuff like time, oil temp, outside temp, trip miles, avg speed. i dont know why it would just stop working but you could disconect the battery for a while and see what happens when you put it back on??? or one of the connectors on the back of the dial cluster could be loose???
