Couple of wires im not sure about?????

I am in the middle of an engine conversion (1.8gti) im not going to be using MFA and im stuck with a few wires.
The pictures below pretty much explain it.

So if anyone knows where they may go it would be a great help.

Also i have a few issues with my dash lights,
When i turn my indicators on my indicator light just says lit,it doesnt flash and my indicators arent blinking, when i put my hazzards on my oil light flasjes but my indicators are blinking.
My water temp guage goes all the way to the top.

I presume this is just a case of either i have wired the loom wrong at the fuse box or the earths arent doing there job.
Any advice would be great.

Thank you very much
john

Earth blocks ………….should be earthed not connected to the fuze board . Look for the earth rosette above the fuze panel and make sure a wire goes to it from those blocks .

Always seems to be the 4 way flasher switch to blame for this , try a new one it can cause havoc in the dash . I have never had a faulty one but plenty of peeps have . Its a start anyway . Your loose  wire what colour is it , straight Blue ?

by the looks of it, that blue wire is from alternator to the clocks for alternator warning light
