Component speaker replacements?

I am looking at replacing the OEM fitted speakers in my 83 GTI.
Thats the rear shelf side ones and the ones mounted in the front door pockets.
I will just be running off the head unit and no amps so have anybody got any good reccomendations? :dontknow:

Have a look back the "for sale" posts - about 4 to 6 weeks - one chap was sellig some JBL units that just slip striaght in.  This sparked a number of posts about potential solutions.
