hi ive got a mk1 clipper convertible and the stereo is terible im wondering where you can put speakers in the car and keep it from looking modified and also what are the best speakers for the job

My sportline has upgraded pioneer and Kenwood speakers in the doors and rear 1/4 panels, they sound really good even just running on an Alpine head unit, i also have a stealth shelf i fit sometimes that i modified to fit from my old Rallye golf, thats got some 6x9 pioneers and 2 100 watt subs on it and makes it all sound nice, but not OTT, its easy to run some new speaker wire and its really easy to make a stealth shelf from a piece 1/2 inch thick ply wood just using the original shelf as a teplate and cover with cloth

mine has alpine 6x9s in the front doors.  looks surprisingly normal and sounds fantastic.  also have a passive sub in the boot to come which should sound awesome if i can fit the bugger in!!

New bonnet on the way. :-)
