Cigarette lighter constantly on without any key in ignition

I just went to the car to get my phone out of it, its about 11.30pm and I noticed the bloomin light that illuminates the cigarette lighter is on, without any key in the ignition

Plus, when i turned the headlights on it went out. Very strange I thought, but there may be a couple of explanations.

1. I fitted a new head unit today, though this should not affect it as not wiring was changed, fiddled about with.

2. The cigarette lighter has always been a bit loose, and I put one in that lights up ops:  I think this is where the problem lies

Even without the lighter it is still doing it though.

Im looking out the window now and its just on along with the security light.
 
Has anyone got any ideas??

Gic lighter is fed with constant live 12v

You must have put this 12v live to the bulb that lights it ! If that make sence.
