Just buy a universal kit off ebay. Like this one.
If you have an alarm already just get a non remote one, so long as your alarm has the function to control locking it should be able to operate it.

Simple enough to diy fit, all thats needed is a few screwdrivers, allen keys and a small drill. Couple of connectors for the electrics to do. You could get pretty much any garage to fit it but i cant see it being worth the cost.

Time based they'd prob charge for a 2-3 hours labours, prob looking at best part of ?100 to fit a ?20 part, seems silly to pay that much to me, find a mechanic who'll do it as a guvvy job, be much cheaper that way.

I just got this about 4 weeks ago :
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/…ts_SM?hash=item5882680643
Really easy to install, and the best bit is you get a mk4 key fob with a flip key - looks really smart!!!

looks like exactly the same kit as mine - just dont get the flip key, so just as easy - connect the solenoids up to the door pins inside the doors, and run the loom round the car, plugging the right wires together - really easy unless your colour blind as they are all colour coded!
Then just plug in the control box, and plug a live and an earth wire into it and your away!
