New switches worth a try?

So wondered whether to fit some aftermarket ones like http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/product/Electric_Window_Switch_SWWIN
Anybody tried these. I like the OE route, but not if they're unreliable. For a fiver each, may be worth a punt

There actually very similar to the ones I have at the minute, although mine are made by ergi or something

That's good news. Just need a little time to wire them in. The only slightly confusing thing is that the new switches have two earths

I just have one earth, from the earth connector near the fuse box then piggy back/ loop all the earth's together as one.
then just a live illumination feed for the light

Finally got around to looking at these new switches to try and fit them. They are rated at 20A so should be up to the job.
I have the one-touch windows but want to install some more reliable switches, so that leaves me with trying to sort out the wiring.
Original switches are:
Blue/black - window down
Green/white - window up
Grey/red - +ve
Black - -ve illumination
Brown - +ve illumination
Aftermarket switches are:
Black - earth (switch earth?)
Yellow - earth (illumination earth?)
Red - positive
Blue - window down
Green - window up
Brown - illumination
Now it might sound obvious, but can anyone advise on the correct wiring for the two earths (can they be combined?), and as the switches arent one touch will this confuse the veedub control unit?
Currently the existing switches will wind the windows down, but not back up without a lot of fiddling, like a worn/bad connection within the switch.
Basically am I better off wiring these new switches in (they are ON-OFF-ON, so work as per OE), or should I be looking for a B3 Passat at the scrappers to scavenge the switches, presumig that they are no longer available from TPS/VW.
Cheers all.

2 and 5 are up/down, with 3 being the common pin for both back to the window ecu.
normally aftermarket switches deal with a live input on 2 poles and switch this output to the motor.
now assuming the switch common wire is just a ground, I think you need to wire it like so:
1 - window unit up/down (trial and error)
2 - window unit up/down (trial and error)
3 + 5 unused
4 - earth
5 - ign live (or lights on feed if you prefer)
if the common wire is an ignition live feed:
1 - window unit up/down (trial and error)
2 - window unit up/down (trial and error)
3 + 5 unused
4 - ign live (or lights on feed if you prefer)
5 - earth
only potential issue with the common ign live layout is if the bulb is an led, it wont work unless you de-solder it and flip it round. But I'm pretty sure its a switched earth

I'd need to have a play and check the switch feeds to double check
looking at it if the aftermarket switches are liek mk2 golf they wont work, as the 1 touch system needs momentary contact for open/close to different pins. on the mk2 type both contacts have ignition live going thru them when the switch is at rest, then they switch between live and earth when you press the button

Unless someone can convince me that getting some new switches will be worthwhile. Do TPS still do the original switches or do I need to visit a scrappy?

The link below was one of the sites I found, though there are others in various countries if you Google.
Bookmarked it for future use - Haven't had a need to contact them so far so can't say anything further.
Lots of VW OEM switches / panels.
