Brake pressure regulator

Hi, In the Haynes Manual it says, When bleeding the hydraulic system of cars with a preasure regulator , the lever of the regulator should be pressed towards the rear axle, I am not understanding what to do . Where or what is the leaver.

Look underneath the nearside rear of the car just in front of the axle and you'll see the regulator up there with the brake lines passing through it.  You'll also see the the little lever there aswell as its obvious when you're looking at the regulator.  Just push it back like it says and hold it there with a cable tie or something.

Hi Thanks, The leaver has a spring attached to it. The spring is loose is that correct.

Correct ……………Tight when car fully laden if correctly set up .
