blaupunkt hamburg fitting

Hi there can anyone help me I am trying to fit a old blaupunkt hamburg stereo.  I know i might be being a bit of a sap but do i require a cage.  I offered a cage upto the stereo but it did not fit.  The stereo face comes off to reveal some metal bars that can be adjusted with an allen key.  The stereo also has the rear rubber missing that locates onto the back of the dash any ideas where I can get a replacement.

have you got a pic of the stereo? It might be the same as mine so Id be interested in the answer too..

Hi there i dont have a photo myself but if you type in the search "stereo fitting blaupunkt"  look at fitting my mono stereo. My stereo is the one at the top if that helps.

Alright thats similar although mine is from the 70's and more like dubboys one further down the page. Its a Blaupunkt Emden. Could be the same cage though..

hi ross would that mean that I need a cage for the stereo to fit it.

I think so. Im waiting for someone to tell us. I dont know if you can get cages for these any more although they could be a standard size.

I dont think it is standard as I tried one in Halfords the other day so we will have to just wait for someone to point us into the right direction.

No it was just one at Halfords I suppose it was just there own make.
