any suggestions peeps
i have plugged in the horn and it sounded so i unplugged it lol!??
i took steering wheel off and pluged her back in all good. i touched copper/brass tag to the metal plate and it sounded all good. but when i put the steering wheel back on and start to tighten up the bolt the metal ring on the back off the steering wheel make slight contact with the metal plate about 1/3rd off the way round.
any one any idea how to sort this out as i'm stumped

Find a differnt steering wheel and fit it? Are the springs in there, which prevent the horn contacts contacting, until its pressed?

If all else fails, Blu-tac. No, seriously. It sorted out the connection issue I was having with my door speaker. Electrical tape could not make it connect, but Blu-tac has kept it in place whilst not being undo-able.
Mind you, I still have a broken toilet after I snapped a polystyrene ball so maybe don't listen to me…
Good luck with it!

I had this trouble with mine. There should be a plastic bush on the top of the column before the wheel goes on. It was missing on mine. From memory it's about 2cm or so tall. It stops the base of the wheel grounding on the metal strip on the column. I'd check if yours is there.
