81 GTi Horn Relay

Hi

Having problems with my horn, it was working (albeit intermittently) then it stopped working altogether. I used to hear what I suspect was the relay clicking - now I don't hear that so I thought I would start with a new relay. Can anyone tell me where I can get one - are these standard? Can I just go to a local garage?

Also does anyone know what position on the board the horn relay sits?

Matt , diagram below . Horns , check steering earth is fitted . Located where the rack meets the column at the back of the engine .

Mine had the same problem… i just replaced the horn with one from Halfords (dont shoot me) but then i realised that my engine had to be on for my horn to work  :dontknow: might be just my car but try it a new horn is about 8 or 9 quid
