High beam fault - Update further progress
I've replaced bulbs, and checked all connections, could the wires be broken somewhere? is there a particular point that is vulnerable to broken wires?
Thanks

My high beam (drivers side) inner and outer headlamps]
This has its own fuse check again in the fuse box have you swoped the bulbs to the other side? Lights use white and yellow cable one side [high and low beam ] and yellow/black with white/black cable the other . Yellow is low beam and white high . You have to check if 12 volts is there if not its off to the fuse box you go ….to find out why ..
Horn can be a nightmare
Keep it simple start with fuse , horns them selves , pick up on steering wheel , earth on steering rack , relay in fuse box .
Chudd…………
EDIT if you have a later Cab then check the lights dimmer relay fitted in the engine bay . This may be rotten , cab owners where is this relay ?

I've followed wires as much as possible for these but it is next to impossible to follow them all the way through, without stripping loads.
I've removed fuse box and looked at rear, everything looks ok (i'm not to good with elecs!!!) accept one wire that is connected to nothing!!! check the pic? any ideas I cant find anything for it to connect to!
Also I haven't a clue what relay is what!! :dontknow: :dontknow:
Horn definatly works, I wired them direct to battery to test, all connections OK at horn end and ok at steering wheel end… where abouts is the earth?

The earth for the horn is connected to the steering rack (under the car).

Have you checked the connectors to the rear lights? sometimes the block works it way loose.

I'm talking about front light full beam, not rear lights, but thanks anyhow
The earth is connected to the rack, actually underneath the car? not inside? Ok I'll have a look there tomorrow.
Thanks

The horn relay is in position 6 on the fusebox and you should be able to hear it click when you press the horn button.
My lights have played up strangely in the past too. Someone had bodged all the wiring to them under the bonnet and the connections had got corroded here too. The connections need to be very clean. Have you checked the earth rosette thing next to the fuse box? Make sure thats clean too.
Wiring to the lights is a complex affair and the length of the wire from battery to lights is very long and therefore means current drops significantly if there are bad connections.
Other places to look for problems with the lights are:
Connection to ignition switch and ignition switch itself.
X relief relay - position 8 on the fusebox
Headlight switch itself and the steering column stalk.
Later cabs dont have an extra relay under the bonnet as far as I'm aware.
Did both problems occur at the same time?

Will check these thanks, surely if it was the stalk then both full beams wouldn't work??????

I've only had the car 7 - 8 weeks, these problems were already there so I wouldn't know…
Thanks for taking the time to write that lot, I will have a look in the daylight. over the weekend..

I notice you have a Scotchlock (the blue thing) on one of the wires from the C block connector (yellow) behind your fusebox. As the headlight wires on the same loom I would check the Scotchlock by unclipping it as they can make poor connections. DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY FIRST!
Ok will go and do that right now… will let you know.

There is power at the white/black wire, but there is none, or minimal power at the plain white one. these are the high beam wires.
So if there is no power here where do I look now? bearing in mind there is power at both fuse 9 + 10…
Does it sound like a problem within the fuse box?

Back to the horn, it is the fuse, I was checking fuse 16, but it is fuse 18 !!! ops: replaced it and it blew again straight away, so what should I be looking for here? why would it be blowing
Also after looking in Haynes I've noticed alot of my fuses are the wrong rating, so im gonna buy a load and get all the correct ones in there!!
Thanks for you help
