Early/ basic models without intermittant wipers - how to get

Many of the early/ more basic Golf models didn't come with Intermittent Wipers.

If you would like the facility, it is a simple matter to pull a "jumper" out of the Relay Plate.

Fit the appropriate relay and pull a little white nylon "wedge" out of the wiper switch which prevented the switch being moved downwards to the "intermittent" position.

The required relay varies either side of 1978 models (111 955 531 for models 1975-77 and 321 955 531 A for models 1978 & on)

Takes all of 10 mins.
