it seems i need to make it clearer, mk1's only please as i would imagine a fair few on the forum have diesel dailys thanks for your input ade

1.6 d going to a 1.6 td engine thats to matt

mines was a small block petrol converted by previous owner to 1.6 diesel converted by me with the help of Bert to 1.9 aaz turbo diesel with a garret t3 turbo of a mk2 gtd and full stainless exhaust ..

79 with a TD power train. Slightly tuned and a blast to drive!

77 with 58,xxx original miles. 1.5 D All stock!

Here is the 79… Not a true GTD. (I wish though)



77 is a work in progress. Sourcing parts for a repaint. Has surface scale, but ZERO rust holes. It has original everything on it. All the paint marks are still on the car as nothing has been changed since it left the factory.

Mine's a 1982 1.6 diesel. Original engine and factory 5 speed gearbox.

Mines a 1987 Cabby Clipper with a 1.9 TDi 1Z engine, with an AAZ 5 speed box.
Running well at the moment, though have been playing with the air filter / induction pipes and have worked out how to get rid of the awful induction noise when revving it, so will sort that out tomorrow and report back
