hi i have been trying to increase the power of my aaz td engine and not getting a huge amount of improvement.
so far i have ground the boost pin, gov spring mod, increased fueling on max fuel screw and adjusted wastegate to the end of rod
it has made some improvement but not a huge amount. i fitted a boost gauge and only goes to about 8 or 9 psi, it is a standard k03 turbo.
any idea how i can get the pressure up a bit more? i have read i should be able to get 15 psi

Fitted a bleed valve and can adjust boost to what I want now. I can hit 1.5 bar but adjusted it to about 1to save the clutch

Yes much better adjusting it with a bleed valve than the wastegate arm as was at the end of the threads and not much difference.
With the pump mods and the valve it is so much faster and can be adjusted to suit. Had to turn boost down as clutch can't cope. I fitted an intercooler to keep temp down as would climb when driven hard but now all is good.

this is the pipework, got one under the air filter and going round the back of the engine. its a classic shape saab 900 turbo intercooler and sits on the crossmember like the rad
the valve just fits on the pipe to the wastegate from the turbo and vents some of the pressure to make wastegate open at a higher pressure
