I used this stuff on my side trims and handles as they were covered in white polish. Did the trick.

Cheapest way to remove polish residue from black trim is a pencil eraser.

I've used glass cleaner to good results,
Linseed oil is also good so I here but I've never used it myself,
Warm it or bring it to the boil and put on seals, but as said never tried it

Off topic slightly, faded bumpers can be restored by heating them with a hot air gun.
I would take the trims off and give em a scrub etc.

tbh the best way to take the polish of rubber is using window cleaner as it has a little alcahol in which breaks down the polish
i alway use autoglym fast glass with a microfibre cloth
hope that helps

Sounds silly does this
What I do is use some fresh polish and take it off straight away. It works for me! The polish I use is Autoglym super resin, my rubbers are quite good so not sure if you'd get the same result with slightly perished rubber. Rub it in hard and take it off hard and straight away! will also make your rubber look nice! as for polish on plastics I use trim restorer.
