Product Reviews.
Right then I thought I would give you all my thoughs on some detailing products I had a few days ago as it looks like we are going to get some sun and some of you might need new stuff.
Anyway here goes.
Below is a pic of the stuff I was using.
First the car was washed with some turtle wax shampoo I had left over and left to dry (didnt take to long as it was quite warm, even at 7:30 this morning!!!)
Then I used the Meguiars paint cleaner, this is used to prep the paint before polishing/waxing by removing any light swirl marks, water spots ect. There were a few little bits of polish residue on the car from when it was machine polished a few weeks ago but the paint cleaner got rid of it in seconds. The product is very easy to apply and buffed off no problem, even in direct sunlight. I worked on a panel at a time. Its always something I got in my collection.
After that I used the Meguiars ultimate polish. This product is designed to give a deep wet look to the paint and it did not dissapoint me. Once again a little product goes a long way. I was working on a panel at a time due to the heat. Half the car was in the shade and on that side the polish was fantastic to use, it went on easy and buffed off with ease. However, the other half of the car which was in the sun was a little more awkward as the polish was drying quite fast so I was a little dissapointed (im used to using duragloss which I used at last years AGM, and we know how hot that sunday was) overall its a good product that delivered a deep shine but at times was hard to work with in direct sunlight.
Due to time getting on and temp getting hotter I decided to skip the liquid wax and use the ultimate quick wax (spray bottle) this product is simply spray on and buff off. Meguiars claim it offers good durability so time will tell. I normally use a spray wax inbetween a full proper wax just to keep the protection topped up. The product was effortless to apply and remove and I went over the car twice in about 5 mins. It also made the paintwork look darker and wetter. A MUST HAVE ITEM.
Dont forget some good quality microfibre cloths and applicators so you dont mark the paint.
I always use the meguiars ones, there expensive but the quality is fantastic and they last a long time if looked after.
Overall, very happy with everything I used (especially the spray wax) will be buying some more of that soon.
Heres the outcome, poor phone pic but you get the idea.

ok, in line with Ceri's detail above, i recently invested in some Farcela G3 product and am very happy with the results. From memory the bottles were £20-£30 each , but i got them as a spur of the moment thing from Halfrauds so i am sure they could be bought online cheaper. The only negative comment i would say is some of the cutting compound if put on too thick can be a bit messy and chalky, but none of it sticks to rubbers and is easily wiped off.
I havnt really got all the before during and after shots, but here is some
