how many shades of helios blue

hi all,
Please can someone  help out, I'm getting my 1988 (f reg) cabriolet gti sprayed, thing is the car has already been resprayed in the past but the colour has a light purple haze to it but other helios blue cars I've seen are darker blue. The paint code in the boot is LA5Y and the paint shop who's spraying the car says that this code is showing 2 shades, one that's the darker blue and one that's got a purple haze to it, how do I find out which one is the original colour, thanks.

cheers for that, it shows la5y is helios blue which is on the paper sticker in my boot but the paint shop says that their is 2 shades to that code !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im getting my mk1 tin top resprayed soon and have also heard that there are a few variants. Currently it has a purple tint in the sun which I like. It would he good to know what these other shades are and what paint codes go with them.
