how gti grill bagde clips on???

Ive just got my hands on a gti grill badge, The clips on the back seem to be to large when pushed through the grill slots. The grill and bagde are both vw parts with part numbers and logos. Am i using the right grill?

sounds like grille/badge age missmatch. what grille is it, and what badge? pics?

Thats the pics of the badge, ive tried 3 grills. Two with the double headlights and 1 with single headlight.
I ended up cracking one of the lats trying to push the clips through. I don't have a clue whats wrong!!

yeah thats a mk2 badge, 191 part number

you need one with 171 part number, maybe 151. or if in doubt, post the number before you buy and we can check it for you!  part number i have is 171 853 679 gx2
