I'm having to brush mine as I'm not taking the engine out and I got high temperature black paint from eBay.
I can't remember the make off hand and its tooo dark, late and cold to go looking for it in my garage.
If no one else posts up I will get I the make and I should hopefully be doing mine in the next few weeks, so I will get back to u on its performance.

My process for the engine block clean was degrease block using a paint brush to agitate the grime, wire brush the hell out of the block, then degrease again. A splash of white spirit as a final clean applied with a paint brush. Then I genolited the block (rust convertor) then several coats of Plastikote. I then had the whole block dipped which cost a tenner @ a local engineering company. It dulled the paint (which I expected but atleast I had protected the block and finished with wire wooling and creating loads of dust etc). I then masked the block up really well & added a few final top coats. Job done!

& this where I am at just waiting to build it all up - was waiting on my sump coming back from the powdercoaters and the weather improving so I can shift it into the garage!

Hope this helps
