Hi, Looking to re-commissioning my Campaign that has sat around for a while. Reviewing the engine bay there are a number of engine parts that have surface rust and look unsightly. EG metal ends of the oil cooler pipes etc. Many of these parts can be removed, refurbished and refitted. However there is also other parts that are permenantly fitted to the body such as 2 bolts on the side of the drivers suspension turret that cannot be removed. These will need to be fixed in situ. Is there a recognised way of cleaning these parts e.g. vinegar? Not looking to get a show finish but just presentable.

I use autoglym engine cleaner a bit. Dab it on with a brush leave to soak. Small spray with water and paper towel or rag it clean.
I have a spray vessel I got in Lidl some time back great for getting into those hard to reach places.
