Detailing at the AGM 2014

Hello all,

We have been in discussion with Dave regarding setting up a workshop about detailing and cleaning at the AGM.

We need to plan how to operate this as best as possible so we can allow hands on tuition, questions and so on. We were thinking of running abit of a timetable of different cleaning and detailing tasks.

What areas would you like to see us include?

For example, we could cover:

• Safe washing techniques (2 bucket methood)
• Claying & Decontamination
• Polishing (Hand & Machine)
• Sealing & Waxing
• Leather Cleaning and Conditioning

And so on, so get suggesting.

We're friendly and there to help. No question will be a stupid question so ask away and hopefully we can help you to take care of your MK1 and improve the looks

i shall be watching with a keen eye one this

things that i'm unsure of if clay bar and sealing

also another thought from me is detailing interior, getting it looking as good as the pro do, different methods things like that

ps my car is avaible to be worked on for stricky educational purposes of course  

you could have a mk1 parked up for demonstrations, perhaps leaving half of the car untouched and only detailing 1 side so you can see benefits ?

HANDS ON training

I think this is an excellent idea.  

Engine detail, wheel and tyre dressing are couple of other areas. Cabrio roof water repellents.
