I use turtle wax shampoo, lambs wool wash mitt, 2 buckets and microfibre chamois's.

Then I use Autoglym clay bar then wash again.

Then Autoglym Super Resin Polish, then either Autoglym HD wax or Collinite 476 wax.

I don't do this every time but a few times a year and the flash red comes up brilliant.

turtlewax liquid wax or whatever its called is alright as a cheap alternative to the hd wax.

I would snowfoam it first if you can, leave for a while then rinse off. then use chemical guys shampoo with a lambs wool mitt using the two bucket rule. After i use a soft clay bar lubicating as I go to remove any tar and to prepare the paint then I would wash it again.
Then using my rotary I correct the paint removing holograms light scratches etc with menzerna power finish and finally use some dodo super natural put on by hand.

Wow I will need to get the low down on all this serious detailing.  Im behind the times here with my mer polish and autoglym bumper care.

First Golf, lots of work. I've started so I'll finish!

I'm loving the AutoGlym HD wax too. I find if you use all the products together like the AutoGlym shampoo and the speed detailer between washes and the show shine spray for detailing they work great together. Got about 4-5 layers of wax on now and don't get fading on the bonnet paint like I used too.

I'm hoping to wax mine on Friday for 2 shows this weekend, it got a 4 hr pamper last Friday before Volksfling but never waxed it.

Hopefully a quick wash then maybe a SRP polish and Autoglym HD wax.

I have Collinite 476 wax too it's good.
3m do a similar one too, snow foam is a good thing too. It really all depends on how much you want to spend and what condition the paintwork is in.

I find autoglym products very bitty to use, even the new formula SRP.

If the paint has swirl marks ect then getting it machine polished first is the way forward.

I use all meguiars products as they work best for me. Most of them can be applied in direct sunlight which is a bonus if your at a show ect.

Wash with 2 bucket method all the time.

Pat dry with a drying towel (never rub as this can cause damage)

Then meguiars paint cleaner to get any old polish/wax off (pointless having a build up of old stuff)

One layer of  meguiars polish (only if it needs it, the job of a polish is to add shine so not always required)

Then a layer or 2 of meguiars wax.

One all done i quickly go over the car with a spray wax or detailer to get rid of any residue missed.

If you just use a polish like a lot of people do then remember, even tho it will make the car look good they offer no protection so will wash off pretty quick.

Do a good job first time round and less will be required everytime after.

I washed mine for the first time in a year on the weekend and the shine was amazing.
