ABF Engine and 02A Gearbox

Was holding onto this to one day stick it on carbs and drop into my mk1 Jetta; however, it's going to be a while before the work on the Jetta is done and I'm going to stick with the small block GF engine that's already in it for now.

I haven't got any history etc for the engine as it was removed from the donor car before long before I bought it. I was told it was running with no issues before it was removed but I haven't installed it in anything or had it running to confirm of deny this myself. There's a box of bits with it which I will go through and list out when I get the chance but at a quick glance it seems to be the original engine mounts (mk3 not mk1), ecu and pedals/linkage bits for the gearbox. Still has alternator, inlet and exhaust manifolds and most other ancillaries on. Will give it a closer inspection when I get the chance and upload more photos too.

£250 for the engine

£50 for the 02A gearbox

Located in Herne Bay, Kent but occasionally work in the Kirklees area so could bring it up that way if wanted.



Alternatively I could stick it on a pallet but the buyer will need to arrange courier and take responsibility for any damage in transit

Apologies for the vague information; once I get the opportunity to dig it out of the garage I will get better photos and better description.

I would also consider a part-ex or swap deal for some of the bits I need for the Jetta… Looking for coilovers/brown dash/ATS classics

Hiya do you still have the engine and box? out of interest does it turn over if you put a spanner on the crank?
