Well i very very nearly had a 50k mile one from Oz for a touch over £1500. It was a CKD '76 model. All of the Oz ones were CKD's and none came with the swallowtail bonnet though. The shipping alone would've cost about the same but I was having a right old mission trying to find a shipping company that would do a customs/T1 transit document so I wouldn't have to pay any tax at all.

Well there seems to be many many people emigrating there. A friend of mine's ex wife is only around the corner and I know she knows a bit as her ex used to have plenty of mk1's. She said she'd have a look for me but it was gone…. 😕

Swallowtails are sought after cars here in Australia too. So when they come up for sale they don't last long. I'm in Sydney and have had no luck in securing one yet, So don't fancy your chances of buying one if your based in the UK.

My Mechanic has 2 x 3dr ones, but wont part with either of them.    

The one above was in Hornsby and was sold for about $3250 Australian bucks.
