VW RUNABOUT WANTED

Hi people !! Im looking for a cheap run around car.
would love a mk1 3dr/5dr in any condition but would consider polo's jetta's ect. Basically anything vw based lol. My mk1 cabby project is a way off yet and My daily ride is a vauxhall astra which is slowly killing my soul lol.
 Looking at up to £1000. Im in essex but will travel. Must have an mot though. Long shot I know but maybe someone could help a fellow dubber out ??

In the west midlands, dy6 postcode. 
It's done 130 something k, completely standard,  but as it's the match model it also has aircon, alloys and a cd player.
It's not exiting, it's not thrilling but it is reliable, in the 5/6 years we have had it, it hasn't missed a beat.
Will get a couple of pics on Friday when I get home if you want?
