Mk1 Golf - All models considered

Hi all,

We (my girlfriend and I) are currently on the lookout for a Mk1 Golf for her to use and enjoy. Ideally the car will have plenty of history and will be as original as possible. It must be solid but it doesn't have to be ready to sit on the Edition38 stands…

All models will be considered, in an ideal world it would be something a little older with the smaller bumpers (plastic is absolutely fine) and some nice retro trim (GL etc) but we would even consider a nice Clipper. Metal roof or cloth roof, 2 doors or 4 doors, we really haven't decided. 

If anyone has anything tucked away that may suit please feel free to drop me a message. We have budgeted around £3500 but for the right car will push the budget a little.
