As per my classified ad on eBay:
Very good example of the run-off version of the legendary Volkswagen Golf Mk1 GTi convertible, registered on 26 August 1992. After 7 years in our ownership, it's time for someone else to enjoy some open top classic car motoring.
Since being bought fully prepared from Classic and Sportscar Centre in Malton in 2014, she has been kept in a dehumidified garage as part of a collection and has only covered 1000 fair-weather miles each year. Currently the clock shows 136k verifiable miles.
Fully serviced, MOT until 26 May 2022, drives just as it should. All the original books and papers, service history and MOTs back to 1996 included. Apart from the heated seats (disconnected when reupholstered in leather), all electrics etc. are fully functional, including the power mohair hood which is in excellent condition. Original paint and alloys. A few nicks and scuffs commensurate with her age, but she polishes up well and is a real head-turner.
Of the 470 Rivages built for the UK market, there are only 116 left on the road so this is sure to be an appreciating classic.
