GUTTED to be selling my much loved Mk1 Golf, i really do love this thing, but times have changed and I need the money freeing up. This is the only reason for the sale.


I bought this a couple of years ago after it was owned by an elderly lady who kept it in her garage for many years and only drove it at the weekend, it is super clean and fully original, original paint, wheels, seats etc…Its one of the cleanest Mk1s ive ever owned and seen, it has a couple minor marks and chips to the paint, as you would expect from an original 1991 car, but nothing major. No rust to the body or underside as it has been sealed professionally.


Manual folding black mohair roof in new condition, many years of life left in it. Ive been caught in torrential rain before with no leaks at all, quite amazing. The mechanism is light and works perfectly. Original glass all round with registration on it.


The carburettor has been changed to the much more reliable and trustworthy Weber carb, which improves starting, power and MPG, measured at 30+MPG on average. Its starts and runs better than most modern cars ive owned and sounds incredible. It had a once over by Doctor VDub in Southsea who told me it was one of the best cars he has ever seen and the engine compression results were the highest he has seen for an original engine. The carb with stripped and sonic cleaned and the car fully serviced. Sailed through the MOT too.


Hugh book of receipts going back many years. Ive kept it in my garage and only driven on weekends. It really has to be seen to be appreciated. Come take a spin and you will buy it.
