This is a truly rare opportunity to own one of the best Mk1 Golf GTI "Campaigns" in the country, which has benefited from owners who respected & treated the car accordingly.
Viewing is strongly recommended and needs to be seen to be fully appreciated to understand how clean and original it is.

I have owned A377UOE, a black Mk1 Golf GTI 'Campaign' for the past 20 years. There were 3 previous owners before me, all of who fastidiously cared for the car like I have. Those who have met me will know that I take exceptional care of my cars and I believe that it is one of a few Mk1 Golf GTI 'Campaigns' which can be considered totally standard.

A check with any of the vehicle data apps online will show that A377UOE has passed its annual MOT on every occasion since online records began in 2006. There haven't been any advisories in the intervening years and I would suggest it indicates how well cared for the car is.

The mileage online is correct, you will see that the car is used very little and is always kept in a garage when not being driven. The car has always been taken to its MOT by trailer & most shows.
The cars' paperwork is totally in order and can be inspected without concern.

When the car is driven it drives true and straight. The steering is tight and precise and the brakes are firm. Acceleration and deceleration occurs without any hesitation or smoking. Changing up and down through the gears is effortless and the linkage is direct and correctly adjusted.

The car has no imperfections or faults on the bodywork, I have regularly waxed & polished to keep its original black paintwork in tip top condition. The car has benefited from three treatments of Waxoyl injected into its sills & cavities ( 2002, 2009 & 2013 ) The underside is totally damage free and very clean (original date stamps can be seen on the wishbones & rear beam).

All the paint and panels are original. No rust or imperfections are present on any part of the bodywork.

The metal sunroof opens and closes freely and again is free from rust of degradation.

All lights work correctly & without any issues.

The fuel filler neck is free of rust.

All 4 original Pirelli alloy wheels are present and are shod with Pirelli P600 tyres. All have their original Pirelli centre caps. The wheels and centre caps are damage free. The spare wheel is an original full-size alloy, again no damage is present to that wheel and the P6 Pirelli tyre is still the original one fitted when supplied. It's never been fitted to the car!!!

The interior retains the original seats, headlining & the carpets are as new, all are spotless.

The dashboard is free from cracks & sun damage, as is the centre console.

The rear parcel shelf is intact and without any speaker holes having been cut into it. It sits squarely above the boot, no sagging is present.

The original Blaupunkt Melbourne radio cassette is present.

The car has never been smoked in or had pets transported in it so there are no lingering odours.

Recently a restored Mk1 Golf GTI 'Campaign' sold on eBay for £19,850.
This sale is offered for a car which is UNRESTORED and totally unique with it low mileage and A1 condition. The car has never been taken apart or involved in an accident so is free of any bodywork repairs.
When you consider the time, effort and cost of a restoration project, buying a genuine car with 100% provenance makes for a good investment. I believe that an original low mileage example is more desirable than a restored vehicle.
