It comes with 12 months MOT and the tax expires at the end of September.

I'm reluctantly selling my MK1 Golf Convertible due to my growing family. I've owned it for the past 2 years and I've thoroughly enjoyed driving during the summer months and taking it to a few shows. It's also cheap to insure under classic car insurance!

I've only ever taxed and driven it from April until September and only if the weather is dry will I drive it, It's never gone out in the wet. I keep it under a full size breathable weather cover at all times and prior to me owning it, it was garaged.

It's down on the log book as a 1.4 GL. The previous owner carried out a 1.8 GTI engine conversion (I have the log book for the engine). I haven't updated the log book as I only do around 500 miles a year and it means the tax is cheaper.

It's had previous to my ownership:
- Full respray a few years ago including inside doors, except for the bulkhead in the engine bay. (the paint is bubbling in areas around the nearside rear arch and under the lip of the hood around the boot area)
- Seats and door cards have been re-trimmed in cream leather with purple piping.
- New black carpet with purple piping.

I've put a lot of time and work in since owning it, new water pump, aux belt, timing belt and pulley, Top end rebuild - new valves, head gasket and bolts etc… radiator, coolant hoses and many more receipts for work carried out.
