Hi
Reluctantly my golf is up for sale, I have been made redundant so no longer can keep two cars on the road.
It started life as a Gambian red golf c, which I converted from a 1.1 to a 2.0 ABF. A lot of work has gone into this car,I have owned it for over 3 years. Since then I have striped it totally and rebuilt it changing and updating most parts. Also refurbing anything else.
What's been done..
Re spray in Bali green a 70s colour
ABF engine and management, rebuilt top end with all valves reground and all new seals. Cleaned and painted
5 speed gearbox from a cabby
New clutch Sachs
Lightened fly wheel
All new gear linkage
Anti roll bars ( std gti )
280mm discs up front with mk3 callipers
Rear disc conversion
All new brake lines
New rubber fuel lines
Polly bushed through out
Jom coilovers
New std mk1 gti exhaust
ABF manifold mated to mk1 down pipe
Fiber glass small bumpers
Bbs Rms refurbed
New tyres nangkan ns2
Early mk2 golf gti clocks
Series 1 Wolfsburg steering wheel
Series 1 door cards
Std 1.1 seats and dash
The interior is still the basic 1.1 which was the look I was going for,there is the usual bolster wear on drivers seat. There is a rip in the rear seat too,I was going to retrim it but never got round to it.
I have done the engine loom my self using proper connectors, it starts first time on the button. Obd port wired in aswel. Plenty of power for a small car, I drove it up to E38 this year and it didn't miss a beat.
The car is very solid the only bit of rust which needed attention was the rear valance corners, I cut out and replaced. The underneath is solid too and as been wax oiled.
Tax until the end of dec and moted until next July.
It is still down on the log book as a 1.1 only for tax reasons. I can update this if needs be.
