I am selling my golf clipper Auto, 1991, a little over 100k miles, I can’t remember without looking it up
b]Model: 1800cc clipper Auto
Spec/Trim option: clipper, BBS alloy wheels
Year of manufacture: 1991
Mileage: 115k?
Price: £7500
Location: Bedfordshire
Contact details: andy.mc234@gmail.com
Condition: superb
Service history: none
Mot expiry Date: 2021
Taxed or sorn: taxed
Description: I’ve been through the complete car over the last couple of years, main things are:
new Weber carb
new mohair hood
professional Complete repaint in 2020
new fuel system from tank forward
new cooling system - rad, water pump etc
new brakes - callipers, drums etc
new ignition system - Bosch leads , NGK plugs, timing belt etc
new tyres
this car is near mint, just some wear to the seats and it would be faultless
totally standard spec, except the BBS alloy wheels, Weber carb and the VW recommended heat soak starter relay mod.
loads of work carried out, too much to remember and list here, I was aiming for a standard and reliable driver.
runs and drives great.
ive just bought a retirement flat which needs all my time and money at the moment , so it’s a regrettable sale.
get in touch if you are interested, apart from the front seats showing light wear, it needs a light wipe over with wax, which will be the first time it’s been waxed since the paint job, and needs the tracking / camber checked and set, since the work and replacement track rods/gaiters etc. I’ve not had time to get it properly photographed but here’s the images I do have. It’s been tucked away in a garage since I bought my flat three months ago, it will start first time, has a new battery also, I’ve attended to pretty much everything, so it’s a reliable little motor with nothing left to do except the above and fit a sound system. All the work done professionally no diy. Thousands of hours and £££’s into it.
not advertised anywhere else just yet, but will be when I get the time, offering to you guys here first, the is a build thread somewhere on this forum
