What happened to it?

Hi. Just wondering if anyone knows a way of tracing my first car or what happened to it.
It was a mars red tin top mk1 with a zender 3 piece roof spoiler and black vinyl recaros reg # DBA 74Y.
Would love to know if iit s still about but not sure how to go about it.

Certainly no trace in DVLA records for 27 years, but that could mean it had a personal plate transferred to it.

The listing on Road Tax Check shows that the last V5C was issued on 23 February 1998. The car then most likely transferred into the motor trade during April 1998 when its road tax expired or was refunded.

It has not been on the road since, but as far as DVLA are concerned the car still exists. So it may be in a "barn" somewhere, waiting to be found, or perhaps more likely, dismantled without DVLA being told

If a private plate had been put on the car, I am pretty sure the original registration would no longer be searchable on the gov website
