Roof swap advice please

I have a sunroof Gti that's got a bit of rot round it mostly in the cassette so I've removed the cassette but would rather swap the whole skin for the 1 I have on a donor car including the scuttle. My question is how is it best to tackle the skin swap mainly the roof gutters? As I can see if the crush fold is opened up it would be difficult to re fold it and it look any good

I have the same issue, I think classic parts de sell the gutter now, and they also claim to be looking into re manufacturing the sunroof tray/cassette.

They sell a repair section but that's just a straight length so wouldn't be of any use in a skin swap.

If I can find a way of swapping the skin that I will be happy to do then I have a very good cassette I'd be willing to sell plus the aperture from the roof to repair any rot

When my body shop did mine, they drilled the spot welds in the gutter, unfolded it and put it back, it was spot on.
Although 12 years later the job need to be done again, dreaded rust..
