Not going anywhere today!

Oh I know that feeling although we here in Austria don't have much snow at the moment where I am.

However it's day 7 of this Siberian weather.
As you can see from this screen shot the cold is evil!



Look at the 'Real Feel' factor (-24) and we haven't had a day warmer than about - 8 for over a week now.

But according to the forecast it's only about - 4 tomorrow and a little warmer over the weekend with around zero! 👍🏼

They pretty much shut Scotland yesterday. We were waiting in Birmingham airport to fly to Edinburgh for my mrs nans funeral and had our flights cancelled. 

We've got to do a web chat funeral today instead…. how awful. 

I hated snow before, I really hate it now.

Sorry to hear that, how awful for you and my sincere condolences to you and your family!

Cheers man, horrible day yesterday, it started so well, weather down south was beautiful, flights were running. If we were booked on the earlier flight we'd be there now. 

Not even my mrs mum will get to her own mothers funeral.. she was with us at the airport.

Really feel for them.  

That's some really bad luck mate.

as the for snow cover... there's not much in South Wales at the moment.. had a few hours this morning - really light... red warning from 2 this afternoon apparently... still be in work i expect - i literally gritted the cul-de-sac to the main road last night, bucket & spade, it's pretty much on an incline to the main road, but hey..   -7 in a t-shirt & jacket, didn't feel too bad - nice & clear this morning though a bit of a grit fest 

p.s. someone posted on social media a loaf of bread for £20 without delivery... 

Yall, are bunches or whimps.  I drove my mk1 Rabbit Diesel as a work car for 4 or 5 years -20 wind chills where the norm 3-6 inches of snow was common.  I can remember I was driving down the interstate and my heater stopped working, the car didn't over heat…get to where I had to work, popped the hood, and my expansion tank sprung a leak.

Finished working, got the car started filled it with plain water, and drove to the next place about 16 miles…
finished work, filled with water and drove to the dealer.
Got the new expansion tank and a gallon of af.  Poured it straight in to the expansion tank and drove off….

Another time 3 feet of snow fell OCT31, wind chill was -70 as it was a freak Blizzard,  The poor Rabbits tires froze to the street, it was 65 the day before…
Dug it out, started it, and drove to work,  8 miles in a Blizzard, and it was -20f actual…my kids were upset because they called off Halloween for 2 weeks till it got back up in the 30's.
