MK1 rear driver badge

Anyone have one in their garage they want to sell me 😁

I have never heard of a rear driver badge?  VW, GTI, Diesel, Injection, Cabriolet…. But not a specific "Rear Driver" .   . Which emblem are you looking for.

The boot lid badge for a MK1 golf driver 😉

Because I never get chance to teach Brian anything

I might have a spare somewhere but it probably needs a repaint. I did mine satin black which I think looks quite neat…

To "Re-Chrome" it, you can use Silver Leaf. I did Gold leaf on my badges, and it held up really well.

I think the Mk1 Golf driver was a UK car only, they are cars which look like a Gti but have a carb engine instead, If I remember they came with a 1.3 or 1.6 engine.

Yes mate, it's not perfect but it's an original Driver badge…

They were all 1.3's, externally look similar to a GTI but had the wider side strip - like late cabriolets, came with white headliner, non-sportsseats in the black/grey tweed style weave and they had 13" steel wheels  



That's mine when I bought it looking standardish , excuse the GTI badge - not my doing!   …

And now, sans GTI badge, roll cage, bucket seats and baked bean can exhaust…

Hi Guys, I have only just seen this threadI Have been looking for exactly the same-Golf Driver -rear, and, front badges for several years!!

If anyone has these? PLEASE LET ME KNOW !as I'm desperate for one for my Mandarin Orange Driver (see February pic on this years calendar).
