looking at changing the exhaust on my Gti and looking over the existing system I noticed the back box is made by Leistritz

it has from top to bottom,

Vag badge stamps
Germany
Leistritz
Typ 171 119E
EWG-Nr 022238  06 99 or maybe 022233 06 99



cant find much info online and not heard of this brand before, anyone know anything about it??

Have you seen one of this make before?

Seems they made the beetle exhaust for vw back in the day but cant find any info on a golf exhaust apart from a sport system

I had a Leistritz exhaust (bought Euro car parts)on my Mk1 Gti (HAO 25V), fitted after I bought the car in 1983, exhaust was well made and had an oval  matte black exhaust tip similar to the Porsche 924, looked great on a Black car
