golf clipper valuation
sadly my lovely clipper got hit in rear recently and the Ins co wanna write it off as uneconomical to repair!! I am going to take it on myself and sort the repairs. Just having trouble finding any decent info on line to get a true valuation. It isnt in mint cond but at 1987 with 92k on clock and pretty immaculate I dont wanna be had over by the Ins co. Any ideas

Put a pic up and it will make it easier too give you the info you need!
?2000 or in the region for a good classic example but insurance companies will right any car off over 10 years old unless you have agreed value!

For a clipper? Would have to be factory fresh imho.
I wouldn't accept less than a grand which should be more than enough to fix it if it isn't bent. You should be able to get salvage retention if it's only a Cat C too.

Salvage retention means that you keep the car after it's been written off by the insurance company.
If the car is deemed unroadworthy, or can't be repaired to a suitable level to be roadworthy, they'll usually scrap it as it's deemed unsafe, but if the car is assessed as a Cat C or D, then they should let you buy it back.
I'm not sure if they'll make you "buy" it back or not - usually this means you accept a slightly smaller payout and keep the car.

thats helpful , I m preparing history paperwork etc as its def road worthy . I ll go for whatever I can on best price. Since had repair estimate and should sort it for ?500 including new rear bumper it needs. Its too good looking just to get shot of it and more I look round it s in gr8 condition.
