One post, two questions
Hello hive mind,
I was informed by the garage I bought the car from that the wheels came of a Scirocco (not a Corrado) and that the car has been lowered.
I've done a bit of reading around on the forums but am interested to hear your views…
What do you think?
1) are these G60 wheels or not and what are they worth?
Hint - part numbers in pic and they used to be black!
2) has the car been lowered or is this standard GTI height?
Hint - the struts are newish (one is red) but the springs look pretty old (especially on the back)
Any opinions or suggestions of how to work this out gratefully received

I think the garage does not know what they are talking about…
They are G60 wheels and they may of come of a Scirocco but not fitted from factory as the Mk2 Scirocco came with 14" wheels not 15"
The ride height looks standard but if no one fitted lower bump stops you could be sitting on the rubber bump stop?
When you say 1 strut is red is it just the front strut housing which is a different colour? You should always change struts, springs etc in pairs…

They're Passat winter wheels.
G60's were round hole, well what people refer to g60 anyway. No steels are g60 specific.

Correct. I read the above which opened with "the garage doesnt know what they are talking about" and immediately thought they are not the only ones 😂

I'm sorry if I got the type of wheels wrong, I just googled it and found images online and if you search Passat 15" steel wheels most have round holes….. so I guess you can't believe everything you read on the internet
I'm no wheel expert so sorry about that
