Engine renovator required - recommendations

Hey there all, I've got my engine out and woundered if anyone had any recommendations or would like to do it for me (Cash money offered)?

Its a 1.8gti 1983 DX out of a Campagin, its done 83k but i want it to be painted up, reconditioned to new again and cleaned / etc. to slot back into my renovated body (when finished)

I've been getting quotes of £2.5k for "tuned" (i.e. replacement cams, etc. whilst apart) and £1400 as standard

Have you spoken to TSR performance about having it 'improved' a bit to Donnington spec while it's being rebuilt?
I think their prices are around that level and it's a well regarded and recognised company.
