Alternator refurbishment?

My alternator is on its way out, even after replacing the regulator it is giving a low voltage and makes a fair bit of noise too.
Instead of an expensive new alternator which in the past have turned out not to fit properly and also require spade connectors which means splicing the original loom.

Can anyone recommend a company that will do a good job of refurbishing my old alternator with a fairly quick turn around?
