Wondered what ever happened to my old mk1

Wondered whatever happened to my old mk1 golf, if anyone knows of it or where it might be? It was my 1st mk1 golf! I'm guessing I sold it 8 maybe 9 years ago!
According to DVLA it's been sorned since 2012. Reg is A278 JWK and it's a 5 door 1.5gl 
Hope someone rebuilding it and it's not left rotting!
